Card Valuer is a Pokemon TCG card scanning and pricing app for iOS. This policy explains what data we access, how it is used, and what we do not do with it.
Camera
Card Valuer requires camera access to scan Pokemon TCG cards and graded slab barcodes. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device using Apple Vision (on-device OCR). No camera images or video are transmitted to any server.
Local Storage
Scan sessions, card lists, and collection data are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it via CSV.
When a card is identified via OCR, the app sends the card name and set number (text only — no images) to the PokeTrace API to retrieve market pricing data. No personal information is included in these requests.
| Service | Data Sent | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| PokeTrace (poketrace.com) | Card name, set number | Real-time market pricing |
We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or tracking libraries of any kind.
All app data (sessions, card lists, collection history) is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data permanently. We have no copy of your data.
Card Valuer does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no account creation, no social features, and no data collection of any kind.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
